Get Xfinity Stream Running on Your Android TV in Just a Few Simple Steps

  • Xfinity Internet Plan – Requires an active Xfinity Internet subscription to use the Xfinity Stream app.

  • Xfinity Account Credentials – Your Xfinity username and password to sign into the app.

Step 1: Download the TROYPOINT Rapid App Installer

Since the Xfinity Stream app is not available on the Google Play Store for Android TV, we need to sideload it.

The easiest method is using the free TROYPOINT Rapid App Installer. This handy utility gives you quick access to install apps not normally available on Android TV OS.

Here is how to download and install it:

  1. On your Android TV home screen, open the Google Play Store.

  2. Search for "TROYPOINT" and select the TROYPOINT Rapid App Installer from the results.

  3. Click the Install button to download it.

  4. Once installed, you can open the TROYPOINT Rapid App Installer.

This app provides an easy way to install many useful apps and tools not officially supported on Android TV devices.

Step 2: Install Xfinity Stream using the Rapid App Installer

With the TROYPOINT Rapid App Installer ready to go, we can now use it to install Xfinity Stream:

  1. Launch the TROYPOINT Rapid App Installer on your Android TV device.

  2. Scroll down and select the "Xfinity Stream" option.

  3. Click the Download button next to Xfinity Stream to begin the download.

  1. Once the Xfinity Stream download completes, click the Install button.

  2. The app will now install. This should only take a few seconds.

  3. After the installation finishes, click Launch to open Xfinity Stream.

That is all it takes to get the Xfinity Stream app up and running on your Android TV!
